Demo v1.7 and Update

Hey, all! After a good deal of time, I finally made another update to the demo, all of which are simple quality of life improvements, such as:

- Lowered HP for Aldes and Noles. I thought it would be wise to lower their health just a bit to perhaps make their fight a little less taxing, but still keep some of the difficulty in check. Thanks to Wild Hunter for notifying me via comment that this section still needed a bit of work.

- A plugin was added that helps keep track of money that is spent, not only in any shop-like setting, but when using Metamorphosis. Thanks for the plugin goes to Michael Morris. His name might not be in the credits at the moment, but the next iteration of demo will certainly have it (if there is another iteration) and the full game certainly will as well. Also, said plugin does not hold much purpose in the demo, but it certainly will in the full game *wink wink*.

- Properly changed how Synthesis works. Two variations of equipment exist now: non-synthesizable and synthesizable. The player can now use blue torches in various shops to make equipment synthesizable and non-synthesizable. Making a piece of synthesiable gear non-synthesiable will remove any powder effects from it, allowing the player to apply new powders to it upon making it synthesizable again, just in case the player was unhappy with the powder effects on their weapon beforehand. Also, non-synthesizable gear can be used for Metamorphosis, but synthesizable gear cannot.

- Made the battle theme for Aldes and Noles, "The Theme of Two Bandits" a faster BPM, just because I felt it sounded a bit too slow before to really get the blood flowing like a battle tune should.

- Changed how the city of Utvieria looks (South, Center and East). I felt a good deal of the locations just looked a bit bland and needed a touch of creativity thrown in...Even though I don't think I'm too good at city/village/town design, but I'll let you be the judge of that.

- Added a "Lord of Treasure" chest puzzle into Utvieria. Some time ago, I was told that the idea for Silvale's chest puzzle was a good idea and that every place should have something to give it more meaning. Well I thought adding in a few puzzles to each area that rewarded the player with special or top-notch gear would be a good way to have the player experience more of each area and see what it has to offer instead of simply going from point A to point B. Of course, such a thing is purely optional as well, so it is not needed for the player to progress, it merely gives them more of an edge in battle or bestows them with an extra benefit.

To my knowledge, that is about the extent of what additions I have made to the full game and decided to port to the demo. And, with that aside, now I can move on to a bit of an update on production.

So, things have been a bit slow on my end, I will admit. There was a time when I was mainly working on a city on the second continent and I wanted to make it large to reflect how it is presented in the world's lore. Well, I have done as much, yet working on towns/villages/cities definitely are not my cup of tea, so I had difficulty keeping motivation at times which led to slower progression. It is mostly done however, the only thing remaining to be done with said city (as of the moment) is to implement story related segments before moving to the next area (which should not take very long at all). However, life threw me a wee bit of a curve ball roughly a couple of weeks ago during the production of the city itself which put a temporary halt on all production of the game for a time. I will not disclose what said hindrance was, and no need to fret, it was not an overly serious matter, it was mainly just a time-consuming ordeal. Either way, said ordeal is mostly dealt with and I can once again go back to working on furthering the production of the game. I am sorry for the slowed progress, but I do indeed plan to continue production with the game and hopefully production will continue at a good pace from here on.

So, until next time, I wish you the best, I hope you enjoy the demo, and do not hesitate to let me of anything you might find to be a problem in the demo!
